My next attempt was experimenting with colours. This was my first venture into abstract expressionism, all about which I’ve never even heard or known of in my uncultured life back then, but I think that I did quite an astounding job for a novice, that’s why it was the first painting I was ever proud of.

Little did I know that abstract expressionism just chosen me on this very cold day, as I was scrambling back and forth between life and death.

To be, or not to be?

Am I really going to be homeless because of my helplessness?

Could I be granted a permanent residency sooner?

Yes and no. I did go homeless for three years straight before I made into a permanent resident, in and out of which I’ve suffered so much and was so humiliated that I’ve lost along the way many layers of what was once some very thick skin, and now I’m a

Walking-dead trying to learn how to live and be a normal human again.

Abstract expressionism must be as shy and lonesome as me to want to be my friend. These white stripes I see like questions: “Do you wanna be fwends?”

Of course, I am a friend to every lonesome soul in the world.

Forever ever and ever.

I hope that it brings whoever bought it from me, for a lifetime,

the warm company, sheer comfort, and sincere trust of

abstract art—

Why did it come to find me? Because that’s me.

It all makes sense…
